At Bergalia Hill, we believe that confidence, wellbeing, and connection grow from the ground up. Our programs combine hands-on gardening at our peaceful South Coast farm with the joy of shared meals, creating a holistic experience that nurtures both body and spirit. Whether you're harvesting vegetables or gathering around a table with others, every activity is designed to build life skills in a calm and welcoming environment.
Led by Jay—a qualified chef with over 20 years of experience and a background in disability support—our programs are rooted in collaboration and purpose. Participants work together in our market garden to grow seasonal produce, learning practical skills from soil to harvest. The food we grow feeds into nutritious, simple meals we enjoy together during farm visits. Participants also take produce home to share with their families, and we’re exploring opportunities to sell excess harvest to local restaurants—offering a real sense of value and contribution.
The Bergalia Hill farm is more than just a garden—it's a safe, supportive space to unwind and reconnect with nature. Whether feeding the ducks and geese, chatting with the cows, collecting fresh eggs, or enjoying a quiet moment in the garden, participants experience the therapeutic benefits of rural life. Tailored for NDIS participants and others seeking meaningful, capacity-building experiences, our programs foster personal growth, purpose, and community. At Bergalia Hill, Lets grow together!
We offer personalised cooking programs both in-home and on the farm. Whether you're in your own kitchen or enjoying the fresh air at Bergalia Hill, you'll build everyday skills like meal planning, budgeting, and safe food prep. Our simple, adaptable approach makes cooking empowering, supporting confidence, independence, and enjoyment.
